The Manitowoc AR-40000 Arctic Pure® twin primary water filtration system is designed for ice machines that produce between 1,001 and 2,500 pounds of ice per day. The system has a water capacity of 40,000 gallons. A carbon block filter diminishes the amount of organic chemicals like chlorine and hydrogen sulfide in the water, which enables an ice machine downstream to produce cleaner ice that will not impart a negative taste to drinks. The Manitowoc AR-40000 Arctic Pure twin primary water filtration system has a quick change housing that makes replacing the cartridge faster and easier. Automatic shut-off pressure relief valves are included, and a scale inhibitor helps reduce scale buildup, even when used on supplies of hard water. In establishments with particularly low-quality water, this assembly may need to be paired with the Manitowoc AR-PRE pre-filter assembly. That unit can remove large particulates like dirt and rust sediment from water before it is sent to the primary filter, which can help prolong the life of both the primary assembly and the ice machine.
