The Taylor 9848EFDA pen-style pocket thermometer is ideal for on-the-go monitoring. The probe measures 1 1⁄2 millimeters in diameter by 3 inches long—ideal for puncturing food without leaving large perforations. It can read temperatures from -40 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, and the blue backlit LCD display clearly shows readings that update every second. The plastic components are molded with antimicrobial Safe-T-Guard to slow the development of bacteria. When sanitizing, this piece should be washed by hand to prevent water from reaching the battery.

Not as quick as it should
Wirk well for about 1 year. Now it just reads low. I changed the battery and it still says lo.
