Southbend S36D-2GR Description
The Southbend S36D-2GR S-Series gas range has two open burners on the left and a 24-inch griddle on the right. Pots and pans are held over the burners on grates, and the rear grate can support a 14-inch-diameter stock pot. Made of polished steel, the griddle plate is 0.5 inch thick, and because of this thickness, it resists warping at hot temperatures. Heated by three burners, the griddle plate creates three heating zones so operators can cook different foods at the same time. A 4-inch-deep rail along the front holds plates and separates users from the hot grates and griddle plate.
Measuring 26 inches wide by 26.5 inches deep, the standard oven in the base of this Southbend S36D-2GR commercial gas range has a two-position rack guide and comes with a removable rack. Because the oven cavity is enameled, the surfaces are slick and food will not stick to them. Insulation surrounds the top, front, sides, and back of the oven, keeping heat around the baking food. The oven temperature is adjustable on the snap-action thermostat from 175 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.
