Vulcan LG500 Description

This Vulcan LG500 floor-model fryer has a temperature range of 200 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and if the temperature rises above the safe amount, the high-limit shut-off turns off the natural gas flowing to the unit. Designed to hold 70 pounds of oil, this fryer's tank has a cool zone that sits under the cooking area so sediment can settle—where it will not burn—until kitchen staff are ready to clean. This feature prevents the oil from taking on a burnt flavor and extends its life significantly.

For corrosion resistance, this unit's sides and back of the tank are galvanized, while the reinforced door is made from stainless steel and has a liner that provides durability. To enable installation on uneven floors, the four nickel-plated legs are adjustable. The stainless steel basket hanger is removable for cleaning, and the two fry baskets have plastic-coated handles to help prevent injuries. This Vulcan LG500 commercial fryer has a tube rack that is plated in nickel for strength and rust resistance.

I will never buy a Vulcan fryer ever again

This fryer is an absolute piece of garbage. You can immediately tell it's made of shoddy materials and it cooks horribly. Avoid at all costs. I suppose you could get away with it if you only need to cook fries but god forbid you need to cook anything for real (like fried chicken, for example). Splurge on a real fryer and pinch your pennies elsewhere.
