Vulcan 48S-8B Description
To simmer, boil, saute, and fry various ingredients at once, the Vulcan 48S-8B LP Endurance™ restaurant range features eight 30,000-BTU open-top burners powered by four shrouded flashtube pilot systems. Each burner has a corresponding control knob that lets operators increase or reduce heat as needed. For user safety, these knobs are made of a high-temperature-resistant material that remains cool to the touch. While the four front grates measure 12 inches by 121⁄2 inches, the rear grates are 12 inches by 141⁄2 inches to accommodate stockpots and sauce pans; these grates feature integrated aeration bowls to enhance efficiency. For thorough cleaning, the grates can be lifted off, and the extra-deep crumb tray beneath the burners can be pulled out to remove food residue and debris.
A standard oven with a 263⁄8-inch-wide by 27-inch-deep by 14-inch-tall interior is built beneath the stovetop. Because of its baker's depth, it accommodates full-size pans inserted side to side or front to back on its two oven racks. These racks can be raised or lowered in four positions to achieve various results. Staff can set temperatures from 250 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit to meet broiling, roasting, baking, or reheating needs, and for safe pan insertion and retrieval, the hinged door features a cool-to-the-touch handle. Because the door panel and oven base are made of porcelain, they're simple to clean.
The Vulcan 48S-8B LP gas-powered range measures 48 inches wide by 34 inches deep by 58 inches high overall to fit compact kitchens. For lasting resiliency and rust and corrosion resistance, its front, sides, backriser, and lift-off high shelf are made of stainless steel, and its frame is fully MIG welded. Its 6-inch stainless steel legs can be lowered or raised to stabilize on irregular or sloped flooring, ensuring the unit is securely positioned during use. Overall, this piece of equipment outputs 275,000 BTUs, uses 1-inch rear gas connections, and includes a rear manifold and pressure regulator.
