The space-saving vertical design works well on countertops, and there are two openings for maximum loading capacity. The openings are 1⁄2 inch to 1 inch for best contact and heat preservation. Buns fit snugly inside an aluminum platen when toasted, and axillary heater elements warm the buns’ top surface for even toasting. So users can determine the best temperatures for different types of buns, the metal-sheathed heating elements are thermostatically controlled.

The Vollrath VCT4-208 vertical contact bun toaster is equipped with accessories and internal mechanisms for proper operation. Two easy-clean and quick-install nonstick release sheets come with the toaster; one is installed into the toaster upon shipping, and an extra sheet is stored in the box.
