Because of its 2¹⁄₄-inch-tall product opening, the toaster can fit various sizes of bagels and buns. After slicing the bagel or bun, it fits smoothly inside the toaster and on the 10¹⁄₂-inch-wide conveyor, which is larger than the industry standard to improve cook times. Users have reign over speed and heating controls to ensure ideal browning and help improve serving time since speed times can be adjusted for specific food needs. The toaster sets to standby mode in slow periods, and it's not entirely shut off, so it can quickly reheat for future orders. This power-saving mode only uses 25 percent energy.

Inside the stainless steel and aluminized steel Vollrath CT4B-2401200 conveyor toaster, high-temperature thermoplastic terminal blocks use clamps to solidify electrical connections, and insulated wires protect against cracking and dry rotting over time. Users don't have to worry about lubricating the drive system or the bearings since they operate smoothly without lubrication. Because the toaster is a high-heat machine, a fan control switch is built into the toaster to cool it when temperatures get too high. Fast quartz heaters and forced convection toasting complement each other in evenly toasting and swiftly recovering.
