The Groen BPM-40EC tilting braising pan is made of durable stainless steel and can hold 40 gallons of meat and vegetables. Its pan is 10 inches deep and has a ⁵⁄₈-inch-thick stainless steel-clad plate for the cooking surface. For efficient heat across the surface, flat bar heating elements are clamped onto it, and the heaviness of the plate protects against warping and distortion. Graduated etch marks on the body enable users to effectively measure contents in gallons or liters.

The Groen BPM-40EC braising pan uses a crank and a worm-gear-tilt mechanism to tilt the pan and pour out contents. It takes 24 tilts for the pan to be fully vertical, and it can be tilted past vertical to simplify cleaning. Faucet installation on the left, right, or rear is enabled by the faucet mounting bracket, and this unit is thermostatically controlled to prevent temperatures from getting higher or lower than the set level.
