This Cambro CBU244284V5580 Camshelving® Basics Plus starter shelving unit includes preassembled post connectors and wedges, 10 traverses, and five bags of eight dovetails to speed up installation. Once assembled, this unit measures 42 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 84 inches high and features five tiers of louvered shelf plates. Its top shelf can hold 400 pounds, and each lower shelf has a 600-pound capacity; no more than 1,800 pounds can be stored on this unit to preserve its structural integrity. Because the shelves are vented, air can pass through the slotted surfaces and circulate evenly to eliminate buildup of contaminants, such as moisture and dust.
To preserve their brushed graphite color and maintain their original form, the Cambro CBU244284V5580 starter shelving unit's shelves are made of corrosion-resistant polypropylene and contain Camguard® antimicrobial agent to prevent formation of stains and odors that can accompany bacterial and fungal growth. These shelves are compatible with dishroom, pantry, and walk-in freezer and cooler storage since they're designed to withstand temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit. Leveling feet fitted on the bottom of the composite posts balance the unit on sloped or irregular surfaces.
