Because the Cambro CBU214864S4580 Camshelving® Basics Plus starter shelving unit endures temperatures between -36 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit, it can be stored in walk-in coolers and freezers, dishrooms, and pantries. Four composite posts support its 48-inch-wide by 21-inch-deep by 64-inch-high structure, and leveling feet built onto the posts' bottoms balance on irregular or uneven surfaces, minimizing the risk of the unit wobbling or teetering, which could cause stored contents to fall and break. Though this unit has an overall 1,800-pound full-load capacity, individually, its top shelf supports 400 pounds and each lower shelf is designed to hold 600 pounds.
Each shelf plate in this four-level Cambro CBU214864S4580 starter shelving unit is solid with a flat, sturdy surface that secures small objects in place, prevents leaky items from spilling onto other shelves, and reduces the risk of creases forming in linens. Constructed of durable, rust- and corrosion-resistant polypropylene, these shelves can withstand heavy use over time. Camguard® antimicrobial protection is molded into the shelves to inhibit bacterial and fungal growth and spread. As the shelves become dirty, they can be removed and wiped clean or washed in a dishmachine.
