Waring WCT704 Description
The Waring WCT704 slot toaster has extra-wide, extra-long slots that can accommodate bagels, Texas toast, and other thick breads. To ensure bread is evenly toasted, the bread rack centers itself. A crumb tray collects debris and easily removes to facilitate cleaning. There is a browning level control that is adjustable with a rotary dial. Other controls include LED indicator lights for defrost, reheat, and cancel. The Waring WCT704 slot toaster has a mirror finish that creates a professional look.

So far so good ..... get's a little hotter on the ends, but we're still adjusting to it. Appears to be well made, and is easily cleaned. We would purchase again, but the last one lasted over 20 years!
Finally found exactly what I was looking for!
This is for residential use. I have been searching for a replacement for my long slot KitchenAid toaster which has lasted 20 years. This chrome toaster looks really good in the kitchen which has stainless appliances, as it is displays another pop of chrome to match the faucets. It works and toasts well without problem. The long slots are a must with today's large loaf bakery items. Toast can be manually lifted up with the lever to retrieve it by hand easily. Stainless toasters vary in finishes which don't match stainless appliances well, and they definitely don't look as classy as this chrome toaster. This toaster is very sturdy and is priced accordingly.

Nice sized slots and it toasts evenly. Darkness control is a little touchy, takes some getting used to.
great basic LONG toaster
We purchased this long toaster because we like artisan bread / bagels and gluten free bread - all the years using a general toaster and not quite getting regular bread just to be toasted in all areas - this long toaster Does toast all size's of bread , plus thick or thin , in all areas of the bread ! The lift up on handle is great !

Well made toaster
I had this toaster in the two slice version for over nine years, and still works great. So, I bought a new four slice version (wct704) for my niece , as a engagement gift. She will enjoy this , with her future family . I like to buy products that are made well. This toaster is.

Powerful
Uneven Toasting
Unfortuantely, one side of the toast gets done to a greater degreee than the other, resulting in uneven toasting. Have to flip toast around half way through if you want even toasting. Disappointing in a toaster of this price.
Solid Performer
Great no frill product that toasts all sorts of bread products in a straight forward manner with out a lot of high tech irems that always seem to go bad on modern toasters.

I use the toaster for home use and find it vastly superior to a toaster oven in terms of safety; my last one actually caught fire which prompted me to get a commercial grade unit. Bread and bagels are toasted consistently well. KaTom sent this toaster in only a few days.
Performs as expected.
We bought a couple of cheap toasters that died in rapid succession. This unit does what it is supposed to, toasts bread. Long slots are good for sourdough and bagels.
Extremely disappointed
My husband and I have wanted a high end toaster for a long time. Since we've been remodeling our kitchen we decided to splurge on a wonderful toaster. We were willing to pay up if need be but wanted something super. This was not it. This toaster only burns bread even on setting 1. I had to go back to my $15 toaster and now I'm stuck with a [$] shiny paper weight. I did a ton of research online before purchasing this toaster. Either I got a lemon or way to many folks out there like burnt bread.
Finally a great toaster !
Finally a toaster that performs. I went through two Dualites, both burned out in less than a year. Then I bought a Cuisinart that had such small slots about the only thing you could toast was Wonderbread. The Waring has long slots to toast artisan type breads. The toasting is very even and makes the toast hot. It is well built without a lot of electronics to good bad. Only thing it doesn't have is a setting to toast bagels only on one side
