"This is the worst toaster I've ever had. When I bought a commercial grade toaster I thought I would get a toaster that made toast like I get in a restaurant; I didn't even get toast like I would normally get at home. It does not toast evenly, brown on top, white at the bottom. The doneness selector stopped functioning about a month after I bought it so, you have to stand by the toaster and guess... certainly didn't get what I paid for."

"I am disappointed in this toaster. I called you to return it and you forwarded me to WARING. They, a little reluctantly, sent me an exchange toaster. I tried it and returned it to them this morning. The problem is I wanted a toaster that toasts both side of the bread evenly. This toaster is two and one half times more expensive than most retail toasters and advertised as commercial, so I expected it would do a better job. It does not. The pop-up portion of the toaster works great but it browns one side of the the bread much darker than the other side. It also does mot brown evenly on the side that does brown. It browns considerably more in the center of the slice. I am disappointed and am not sure what to do other than try a different brand. Thinking ???? I texted photos to Waring and that is when they sent an exchange. I want a five star toaster !!!!"

"Had this for a couple months. The first would toast unevenly and would change after toasting more than two pieces on darkness without touching the dial. With one toast the middle is always darker than the outside. Waring customer service was good and sent a new one. This one toasts more evenly but still a little difference between each side (darker in the middle) with one slice. Two slices are pretty even and all the rest has improved. Quality seems nice on it. Customer assistance from Katom and Waring were great. Still would expect even toasting on one slice."

"excellent product (so far) especially compared to so many others out there and the Katom company provide great purchasing service via their web site. I do recommend this product and this company."

"My wife and I have been looking for a toaster that actually toasts for several years. We have bought every brand of toaster out there in the big box stores, discount stores, warehouse and other stores. None of them have ever toasted correctly. Either the toast was slightly toasted, or toasted only on one side, or toasted with very uneven brown...the list goes on. We just wanted a toaster like in the good ole' days. Well, after getting so fed up settling for what was out there in stores, my wife said, "I think we need to buy what a business or restaurant would use. Maybe they are better." Well, guess what? We found the holy grail!! This toaster is amazing. Our toast is brown, even on both sides. The toaster is just like the old days. Solid built. Toasts everything beautifully even on the lowest setting. We love this toaster."

"This toaster is the exact look I wanted. Chrome without goofy big knobs like all the others had. The nice thing is, is that it performs wonderfully."

"Yes, I had this toaster 3 weeks and it Was just what I was looking for. My old 1946 GE toaster finally quit. This model almost looks exactly the same. The same heavy duty solid constuction , but with more modern controls. I am a person who will spend for quality, and nine times out of ten will enjoy it. It may cost three times the price of an ordinary plastic toaster, but I feel when you buy a product it should last more than one year. Also, chrome is good looking."

"When my Sunbeam toaster died after 30 years, I found there was no reasonable replacement for under $130 that fit my criteria (practical and long lasting). I bought a few cheap toasters that either didn't toast right, or stopped working after a year or so. Then I found the Waring. Having a Waring blender from the 1950's that still works fine, I knew what to expect. We use this toaster everyday, the controls are linear, making it easy to select just the right amount of "doneness" and that doneness remains consistent slice after slice. The heating elements are slightly hotter on the inside, so bagels and english muffins come out perfect, but this means that regular bread will be toasted slightly more on one side. The handle used to push down the bread is lightly sprung, and latches in the "toast" position without having to "bang it down" like the cheapie toasters. The finished toast rises up enough for an easy grab, but you can push the handle up another inch or so to retrieve those extra small breads-ends. This is a "normal" sized toaster, it doesn't take up any more room than your typical toaster, it has a hefty feel to it, the chrome finish is high quality, and easy to clean. I haven't found any down-side to this unit, so long as all you need is a simple, effective toaster that will last your-lifetime, look no further, your search for the perfect practical toaster is over. You can certainly buy a cheaper toaster, but that is exactly what you'll get."
