Cleveland 21CET8 Description
The Cleveland 21-CET-8 SteamCraft® Ultra 3 convection steamer has a built-in steam generator that connects directly to a water supply and fills with water when the unit is turned on. Jets shoot steam into the interior so that it moves throughout the cooking cavity, cooking many kinds of foods at once without transferring flavors or drying them out. For heating efficiency, the insulated stainless steel walls hold in heat, and a gasket prevents steam from leaking out. The two-piece door stays cool and closed despite the warm temperatures inside. It is hinged on the left and opens from the right.
This Cleveland 21-CET-8 countertop convection steamer offers two types of steam modes. The timer steam modes can cook dishes for 60 minutes or less, sounding an alarm when food is done. For slow-cook dishes, a bypass switch provides continuous steam. Between dishes, employees can put the steamer in standby mode to keep the steam generator hot and ready to produce steam so that the next pan can be slid in without waiting. At the end of the day, employees can remove the slide racks for cleaning and wipe debris out of the interior. An indicator light on the front tells employees when limescale buildup in the generator grows too dense.
