The unit heats from 85 to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and is controlled by the 4³/₁₀-inch touch display.

If the pan is removed from this CookTek HTF-9500-SH18-1 induction cooktop, it is designed to shut off to prevent overheating. The induction design is safer than other range type as it doesn’t require an open flame. Induction uses electromagnetism to create a magnetic field just above the cooking surface. When a compatible pan is placed on the surface, electrons in the cookware move around rapidly to generate heat. This cooking method is more energy efficient than standard electric and gas equipment and offers quick response times for applications that require close control over the temperature.
