The T&S 001661-45 nylon index ring is red, so it can be used to indicate clearly the hot water controlling lever handle on a T&S lever-style faucet. Because it is made of nylon, it retains its shape and resists fading, bacterial growth, and damage from chlorine-based cleansers.
