The Scotsman FS0522A-1 Prodigy Plus® ice maker can produce 450 pounds of ice per day if ideal conditions are met. It makes flake ice, an ice type that's particularly useful when blending drinks such as smoothies and margaritas. For increased durability against rust, this unit has a stainless steel exterior, auger, and evaporator. It's air cooled, meaning it has a slightly lower production than similar water-cooled units, but uses less water as it operates. With a self-contained refrigeration system and compact size, this ice maker is simple to install and fits into most floor plans.
When cleaning is needed, the Scotsman FS0522A-1 flake ice maker offers users one-touch activation, minimizing labor. To promote sanitary use, the unit's refrigeration system is sealed against airborne contaminants and enhanced with an antimicrobial treatment to resist germ spread. Indicator lights notify users if maintenance is needed and its QR code is unit specific for improved troubleshooting.

Panel fit is terrible, overall quality seems to be dropping
"It appears the panels are being made of lighter gauge material. In addition the fit of the panels is not good. This particular machine left side panel was either stamped incorrectly or the back panel it couples with is not cut right. The tabs on the back and slots on the side panel do not match up. Don't understand how the factory did not notice when assembling. I am hopeful Scotsman will make it right."
