Hatco S-17 Description
Built for commercial use, the Hatco S-17 Imperial water heater has a hammertone exterior finish and a Castone®-lined tank. Both offer corrosion protection, preventing the constant running water from damaging the unit. Other safeguards include a low-water cut-off and high-temperature limit switch, which prevent the elements from burning out or overheating the electronics. This heater also features a temperature/pressure relief valve and pressure reduction valve, which keep those values at safe levels for operation.
This Hatco S-17 water booster heater is designed to raise a water supply to the hot, sanitizing temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit. At this temperature, bacteria begins to die off, making the water ideal for the final rinse cycle of a high-temperature dishmachine. For low-temperature machines, this unit also features a 140-degree-Fahrenheit setting. The heater is operated with a front-located on/off switch, and to change the temperature setting, users can conveniently reach through the front cover and turn the thermostat screw.
