T&S Commercial Mop Sink Faucets: What You Need to Know

Designed for heavy-duty use in various applications, T&S mop sink faucets complete your service sink setup. T&S utility sink faucets vary in nozzle length, handle style, and distance between inlet centers. They may include garden hose fittings on the end of their nozzles, so they can be used for cleaning chores in and out of the kitchen, while pail hooks and wall braces enable buckets to be hung safely on the nozzle of the T&S service sink faucet as they're filled.

Common Questions About T&S Mop Sink Faucets

How do I install my T&S mop sink faucet?

T&S mop sink faucets are designed for easy installation but are adaptable to many different situations. T&S recommends a supply nipple kit to connect your wall-mounted faucets to your water supply, but individual parts are also available for special situations.

Faucets may come with inlet centers that are a fixed distance from each other, or may be adjustable to fit your existing water supply lines. If you're unsure of your installation requirements, contact a KaTom representative for assistance.

How long of a faucet should I choose?

T&S Brass mop sink faucets extend a few inches from the wall on the low end, and nearly 10 inches on the high end. Choose a faucet that extends more than 7 inches from the wall for easy handwashing.

What is the purpose of a service stop?

Service stops, also referred to as integral stops, are shutoff devices available on T&S commercial mop sink faucets that are engaged by a screwdriver. They're located between a faucet's inlet and outlet and stop water flow for repairs without turning off the water supply or disconnecting the faucet.

What is a vacuum breaker?

A vacuum breaker is a device that uses air pressure to prevent backflow of contaminated water into a potable water system. This could occur if pressure drops and your sink faucet contacts water in the sink, especially through a hose. You should purchase a T&S mop sink faucet with a vacuum breaker if it's required by code in your area.

What types of handles are available?

  • Wrist-action handles: These handles support easy, hands-free operation by pulling the handle toward you using your wrist. They're available as 4-or 6-inch-long handles.

  • Lever handle: These handles operate in the same fashion as wrist-action handles but are shorter and require the user to grasp them for operation.

  • Four-arm handle: These compact handles have four arms that users must grasp and turn to activate the faucet. Unlike wrist-action and lever handles, four-arm handles aren't ADA compliant because of the force required to operate them.

Does T&S Brass offer washdown stations?

While many T&S service sink faucets come with a male garden hose connector that enables adaptability for spraying down equipment and other areas, a 10-foot hose assembly with a water gun also is available for creating a dedicated washdown station.
