Thankfully, Norlake crafts its product numbers deliberately to indicate some of the most important specifications of each unit, including where it can be installed, the type of cold storage it provides, the measurements of the unit, and the compressor location. Norlake Product Numbers Explained

Each part of a Kold Locker product number represents a different specification of the unit, so breaking the number down into its individual parts reveals each major component of the unit you're looking at.

• Installation Location: The first section of the product number is either two or three characters, depending on the model. KL indicates an Indoor Kold Locker, while KOD indicates an Outdoor Kold Locker.


• Type: After the installation area, there will either be a B to indicate the unit is a cooler or an F if it’s a freezer.


• Height: The second part of the product code represents the height of the unit in feet and inches. For example, a product number with "87" following the model letters indicates the unit is 8 feet, 7 inches tall.


• Width: Look to the third section of the code for the width of the unit in feet. This can be either one or two characters.


• Length: Directly following the width measurement in the product number is the length of the unit in feet.


• Compressor Location: The final spot in the product number, following a hyphen after the length measurement, indicates the compressor location. A product number ending in -C indicates the compressor is located at the ceiling – or the top of the unit. A product number ending in -W denotes a wall-hanging unit.

So, if you're looking at a Kold Locker with the model number KODB77810-C, that means the unit will be an outdoor cooler that's 7 feet, 7 inches tall, 8 feet wide, and 10 feet long, with the compressor located on the top of the unit.

There are some specifications not included in the product number, such as the weight of the unit, the thickness of the walls or door, holding temperature, and the presence of LED lighting.
