A Guide to Adande Refrigerated Bases

Cassettes

Adande’s Cassette models are designed to be built into a range or workstation, so they cannot stand alone. They can be fitted with standard cover tops or a flat base for worktop access. As with all Adande refrigerated products, these come with a digital control display that can hold temperatures ranging from -7.6 to 59 degrees F. The Cassettes come in various dimensions, depending on your kitchen size and food storage needs. Most can hold four hotel pans and up to 88 pounds of food per drawer. Choose Cassettes for an economic use of space, bringing food storage to the center of the cookline.

Chef Bases

These products utilize all the same features as the other Adande refrigerators, but they are specially fitted to hold cookline equipment on top of them. They measure around 20 inches high (depending on the caster size you select) and can hold over 500 pounds of equipment. Solid worktop Chef Bases can be used in a cold cookline, but for hot cooklines, the heat shield should be used to hold a griddle or range. These models also come with side-or rear-mounted refrigeration units. If selecting the rear-engine model, ensure the unit has at least two inches of breathing room on the back. These refrigerators are ideal for holding anything that should be cooked immediately upon removing from storage, such as meat or fish.

Undercounter units are designed to be placed under a preinstalled counter or workstation; they will not bear loads on their own. They can be fitted with one of three caster sizes and offer either one or two single-side drawers or two double-side passthrough drawers, which are ideal for a central island unit. Undercounter models also come with either rear-or side-mounted, self-contained refrigeration systems that use environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant. They feature smooth-glide drawers, are great for maximizing any unused space under your preexisting counters, and provide easy access to ingredients.

Prep Station

Prep Stations all have solid worktops for easy food prep access. They can be used for bulk storage in the same location used for preparing food or for holding various ingredients in hotel pan racks (sold separately). These models are all fitted with caster bases, which come in high, standard, or small sizes and can hold between 350 and 550 pounds on top, depending on the model. The Prep Station refrigerators are available in a variety of dimensions and provide excellent space-saving choices for mobile catering services or food trucks.
