Ideal for use in busy cafes, diners, and restaurants, high-volume energy efficient coffee makers are designed to help operators simplify coffee service to keep up with demand. They are available in two types: satellite and decanter.

While decanters must be placed back on the hot plate after use, satellite machines (which refer to detachable decanters) can be moved around your business as needed. These units maintain their heat because of the well-insulated stainless steel reservoirs, which reduce heat loss and maintain temperature uniformity within the tank. Models are available in single or twin configurations and are designed to optimize coffee quality and flavor while reducing maintenance and service needs. In addition, certified ENERGY STAR coffee makers may include an energy saving mode, which include programmable auto-power down functions that switch off the warming plate.

Energy efficient coffee makers come with several features and options to optimize coffee quality and flavor while simplifying operation. Some models are available with easy-to-read displays and touchscreens featuring intuitive icon-driven interfaces. These interfaces include numerous customization options, quick navigation to temperature, quality timers, and more. Some units also feature pre-programmed recipes like gourmet, standard, dark roast, light roast, high yield, filter pack, and decaf with customizable brew settings for fine-tuned results. Units with options such as built-in hot water faucets, pulse brew, pre-infusion, water bypass, vacuum sealed servers, LED notification, and self-diagnostic systems are also available. Energy efficient models brew as much as 15-21 gallons of coffee per hour, and most don't include distracting alarms that can interrupt guests' experiences.
