Southbend KELS-100 Description
The Southbend KELS-100 steam kettle has a stationary design that holds 100 gallons of product. Stew, soup, and broth can be cooked in this piece of equipment, and because the lower 2⁄3 of the kettle is surrounded by a jacket of steam, cooking will be even without burning. This jacket is factory sealed and filled with distilled water.
Users can adjust the Southbend KELS-100 steam kettle's temperature with its thermostatic controls. While the entire unit is constructed of stainless steel, its interior is made of 304 stainless steel that resists corrosion when exposed to acidic foods. A draw-off valve enables users to remove liquid from inside the kettle.
