The Southbend DMS-40S stationary kettle is built for high-efficiency commercial cooking, offering a 40-gallon capacity with a 2 2⁄3-jacketed steam cavity for even heat distribution. Its interior liner is constructed of 316 stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to high-acid food products.
The hemispherical bottom maximizes heat circulation, while the enclosed stainless steel cabinet base houses essential components, including a steam trap and safety relief valve. For smooth operation, this unit features a 2-inch sanitary draw-off valve with a perforated strainer, allowing efficient product dispensing. A hot and cold deck-mounted fill faucet provides convenient water access.
Designed for stability and convenience, the Southbend DMS-40S stationary kettle includes a spring-assisted hinged stainless steel cover to retain heat and ensure safety. Its modular cabinet design matches other Crown cooking equipment, while removable side panels and magnetic latch doors provide easy access for maintenance.
The unit is supported by 6-inch stainless steel legs, with bullet feet in the front and adjustable flanged feet in the rear for secure floor mounting. A standard pan support holds one 12-inch by 20-inch by 2 1⁄2-inch pan in a horizontal position and can be removed without tools for easy cleaning.
