The Southbend KDMTL-80-2 tilting kettle/mixer is designed for high-volume cooking applications, featuring two 80-gallon kettles for a total capacity of 160 gallons. Constructed of durable stainless steel with a satin finish, its double-wall interior includes a 2 2⁄3-jacketed steam cavity lined with 316 stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to high-acid food products.

The hemispheric kettle bottom optimizes heat transfer for efficient cooking, while stainless steel tubular legs with flanged feet provide stability. A sealed stainless steel tilt mechanism allows the kettles to tilt forward a full 90 degrees for complete emptying, with a self-locking feature to ensure a secure stop.

For streamlined mixing, the Southbend KDMTL-80-2 tilting kettle/mixer is equipped with a variable-speed mixer powered by a five-horsepower electric motor and hydraulic pump. It includes two removable agitators—a stainless steel scraper/agitator and a high-speed mixer—both of which can be detached without tools for easy cleaning.

The control console features a main power switch, mixer lift switch, and variable speed control for user friendly operation. A 10-gauge stainless steel bridge houses two heavy-duty hydraulic motors that drive the agitators. The bridge power tilts and swings 140 degrees, allowing full access for kettle tilting and cleaning.
