Crown Steam DL-80 Description
For even heating, the lower two-thirds of the Crown Steam DL-80 stationary steam kettle's interior is lined with a double wall that creates a steam jacket. The unit's bottom features a hemispherical structure, which reduces cold spots and improves uniform heat circulation. Because it uses a direct-steam system, it requires an external source to fill the jacket with steam, and overall, this unit accommodates 80 gallons of product—an ideal volume for cooking large batches of soups, stews, and pastas.
Because the Crown Steam DL-80 steam kettle is stationary, it doesn't require operator exertion to remove product—instead, it includes a 2-inch draw-off valve. This unit is equipped with a perforated strainer to catch foods while dispensing liquids. A spring-assisted, hinged stainless steel cover shields product from airborne particulates and helps prevent heat loss. Made of durable stainless steel, the interior and exterior resist rust and corrosion to withstand long-term use. For stability, this 37.75-inch-wide by 37-inch-deep by 40.50-inch-high kettle is furnished with three tubular legs and adjustable flanged feet.
