Southbend KDCT-12 Description
The Southbend KDCT-12 tilting kettle is made of stainless steel, so it is durable and rust resistant, and the kettle's water-filled double wall creates a steam jacket around two-thirds of its body. Aiding in heat transfer, the bottom of the kettle has a hemispheric design, and the kettle's stainless steel liner can handle acidic product. Stainless steel legs are mounted on the unit, with these legs having a tubular shape to conceal the steam supply and condensate return pipes. A steam control valve is located on the right leg, enabling users to adjust steam levels.
Enabling the unit to be tilted forward past 90 degrees for complete emptying, it utilizes stainless steel tilt mechanism bearings. An operating handle has a heat-proof knob that can be removed and mounted on the left or right. This Southbend KDCT-12 steam kettle has a large capacity of 12 gallons, so it works well in schools or hospitals.
