The Koolaire KYP1000A-261/K970/K00470 ice maker with bin comes with the K00470 adapter kit so that operators can stack the units together. To assist staff in cleaning under the unit, the bin has four legs that raise it off the ground. Its interior is constructed of water-resistant polyethylene and can accommodate 882 pounds of ice. Preventing ice from melting quickly, the foam-insulated door stays propped up for effective scooping. Inside the bin, a scoop holder keeps the included ice scoop out of the ice for sanitization.
The Koolaire KYP1000A-261/K970/K00470 ice maker with bin is capable of producing 880 pounds of ice when the surrounding air is 90 degrees Fahrenheit and water flow is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Its self-contained, air-cooled condenser uses fans to cool the unit. This ice machine produces half-cube ice, which chills beverages faster than full cubes. To highlight debris and dirt buildup, the food zone, which touches ice and water regularly, is made with white plastic. The water shield, distribution tube, pump, floats, and trough can be removed by hand for maintenance and cleaning.
