The Koolaire KYP0700A-261/K970/K00470 ice maker with bin has an air-cooled, self-contained condenser that chills the unit by pushing air across it with fans. In the proper conditions, this ice maker can produce 641 pounds of half-cube ice in a day. The food zone—the area that regularly comes into contact with ice and water—has white plastic to show staff when there is dirt and grime. Its water shield, tube, pump, distribution tube, floats, and trough can be removed by hand for maintenance. The exterior of the ice maker and bin looks like stainless steel, and it resists corrosion and smudges.
The Koolaire KYP0700A-261/K970/K00470 ice maker with bin can hold 882 pounds of ice and has four adjustable legs for support. Its interior is constructed of water-resistant polyethylene, so it is unlikely to be damaged by melting ice. An internal scoop holder keeps the scoop out of the ice to keep it sanitary. To facilitate scooping, the door of the bin stays open, and it is insulated with foam to keep ice from melting too quickly.
