Koolaire KYP0400W/K400 Description
Since the Koolaire KYP0400W-161/K400 half-cube ice maker with bin has a water-cooled condenser, water runs over the condenser coils to chill the refrigerant. This unit makes 425 pounds of half-cube ice daily if conditions are ideal, which is excellent for restaurants since half-cube ice cools drinks quickly and provides better drink displacement than full-cube ice. Any area that comes into contact with ice and water is part of the food zone, which is sealed to prevent dirt from building up. White plastic components make up the surfaces of this food zone so that dirt can be quickly spotted. Many internal components can be removed without tools.
The Koolaire KYP0400W-161/K400 ice machine with bin has an exterior finish that resists smudges and rust because it looks like stainless steel. The bin has black side panels that match the ice machine, and to keep ice frozen, the bin's door is foam insulated. When users are scooping ice, the door can be propped up for complete access. This bin can hold 365 pounds of ice, and its adjustable legs enable the user to comfortably clean underneath. An 82-ounce scoop is included with a built-in holder to keep ice sanitary.
