Koolaire KDT1000W/K970 Description
Depending on surrounding conditions, the Koolaire KDT1000W/K970 full-cube ice machine with bin can produce 835 pounds of full-cube ice in a day. Since it melts slowly, full-cube ice is ideal for alcoholic beverages. Any space in the unit that comes into contact with water and ice is known as the food zone and is sealed to prevent bacterial growth. It also features white plastic parts that help staff spot dirty areas. By taking out two screws and lifting the door, the operator can access the food zone for maintenance. This unit has an exterior that looks like stainless steel and resists fingerprints. Its water-cooled condensing unit uses water instead of air to keep the condensing coils from getting hot.
For comfortable scooping and minimal condensation buildup, the Koolaire KDT1000W/K970 ice maker with bin has an insulated door that props open. This bin can store 882 pounds of ice and has an 82-ounce scoop. A built-in holder keeps the scoop out of the ice and ensures that it remains sanitary. The exterior resembles stainless steel, and its side panels are black to match the ice machine. If the unit is sitting on an uneven floor, its legs can be adjusted to different heights. An adapter kit is included to properly attach the ice machine to the bin.
