Koolaire KDP0400A/K400 Description
If ambient air and incoming water temperatures are at the proper level, the Koolaire KDP0400A-161/K400 ice maker with bin can produce 440 pounds each day. Ice forms when refrigerant cools the evaporator plate as water runs across it, making half-cube ice. This ice is ideal for operations that serve drinks in bars and restaurants.
The food zone in the ice machine head houses the components that come in contact with water and ice, and this area needs to be kept clean to eliminate the risk of ice contamination. Parts in the food zone are accessible behind the lift-off door for cleaning. These parts are white, enabling users to see unsanitary buildup, and some parts are removable for cleaning.
The Koolaire KDP0400A-161/K400 ice maker with bin can hold 365 pounds and comes with an 82-ounce scoop. In the bin, the holder keeps the ice scoop out of ice, preventing unsanitary contact between handle and ice. A stay-open design on the bin door enables convenient scooping, while its foam insulation prevents condensation from building and keeps cold air around the ice.
