The Merrychef CONNEX16CARBONBLACK convection/impingement oven streamlines toasting, grilling, and other cooking processes using an all-in-one heating method. It combines microwave, convection, and tuned impingement to cook up to 20 times faster than other methods. It’s slim and compact with an internal cavity that measures 16 inches wide and long, with an 18-inch oven-width suitable for 27 1⁄2-inch worktops. The interior is accessible through the bottom-mounted door, which features an ergonomic extruder handle. Along with its efficient heating method, this unit’s microporous design provides better insulation for even cooking. The casework is constructed of durable stainless steel with a carbon black finish; the inside cavity is made of the same material and sports rounded corners for comfortable cleaning. The catalytic converters provide ventless operation, patented air-cooled technology ensures the casework is cool to the touch during operation, and the front-facing filter minimizes overheating.

This Merrychef CONNEX16CARBONBLACK microwave convection/impingement oven’s front features an impact-resistant, 7-inch control panel. This panel’s easyTouch® system has icon-driven controls communicated through multi-stage cooking profiles. In its full-service setting, this touchscreen offers submenus with the following options: Recipe creation, Press & Go, Cookbook, Cleaning, Temperature Change, and Settings. Employees can create their own recipes and access the pre-saved recipe menu. Cooking profiles have customizable cooking times, microwave power settings, and written/pictorial instructions in six separate stages. Updates to the menu can be made through WiFi or ethernet connectivity to the KitchenConnect cloud, or via a USB data stick.
