The Follett D414AS Maestro Plus™ nugget ice machine head produces up to 425 pounds of Chewblet® nugget ice daily to support remote ice delivery equipment (RIDE®) applications. Built for flexible installation, this compact air-cooled model can be mounted in a wide range of configurations, including in-cabinet, undercounter, wall bracket, floor stand, on-bin, or on-fountain. Its air-cooled, self-contained condenser simplifies installation and eliminates the need for remote components. The frame is made of stainless steel to provide structural durability, while critical internal components—including the evaporator, auger, and top bearing—are also constructed of stainless steel to ensure mechanical integrity during repeated operation. A heavy-duty, oversized tapered roller bearing minimizes mechanical wear for extended low-maintenance performance. To reduce scale and sediment buildup, the system performs automatic self-flushing after each production cycle. Full cleaning and sanitizing can be completed in less than one hour.
The Follett D414AS Maestro Plus ice machine head uses R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant in a compact, self-contained cooling system. A front-mounted LED control board offers clear at-a-glance operational feedback to assist with system monitoring. This unit connects via a 3⁄8-inch FPT water inlet and drains through a 3⁄4-inch MPT outlet. Its narrow footprint measures just 18 4⁄5 inches wide to support installation in tight spaces or directly onto compatible dispensers and ice bins.
