The Follett D1010R Horizon Elite™ nugget ice machine head supports operations that require efficient, off-unit ice production by generating up to 978 pounds of Chewblet® ice per day. It uses an air-cooled remote condenser system, which keeps noise and heat away from service areas. Built for simplified maintenance, this unit eliminates the need for periodic bearing checks or replacements. Key sanitation-focused features include a floatless, sealed water system that reduces biofilm development and Agion® silver-based antimicrobial protection on ice- and water-contact components. The integrated LED panel displays current operating status and diagnostics clearly, enabling fast visual checks by staff members.
The Follett D1010R Horizon Elite ice machine head operates with R404A refrigerant and incorporates a semi-automatic system for routine cleaning and sanitizing. Designed to maintain performance in a range of ambient and incoming water conditions, it operates effectively in environments with air temperatures between 50 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit and water temperatures between 45 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Water and drainage connections include a 3⁄8-inch OD push-in inlet and 3⁄4-inch MPT outlet, with a 1-inch gravity drain required.
