For consistent cooling throughout, the True TWT-48D-2-HC~SPEC3 Spec Series® worktop refrigerator uses guided airflow to maintain temperatures between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Using R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant, the self-contained capillary tube system is environmentally friendly. Its reliable, electronically commutated fan motors move air consistently and run with low energy use. Each time the compressor starts up, the fan motor reverses direction for a 20-second period to blow away buildup from the condensing coil. A clean condensing coil functions more efficiently and lowers energy consumption. However, users should still carry out preventive maintenance on a routine basis. 

The cabinet is insulated with high-density polyurethane to retain cold temperatures and its stainless steel, coved construction facilitates cleaning. The worktop is one piece to eliminate seams and to prevent particles from collecting in it. Because the True TWT-48D-2-HC~SPEC3 worktop refrigerator has a 34-inch work surface height and 3-inch-diameter stem castors, it is compliant with ADA standards. The two drawers can accommodate one full-size storage box or various small pans with divider bars. The single door swings within the cabinet dimensions, self-closes, and has a 90-degree, stay-open feature. The door and drawers have magnetic gaskets—removable for swift cleaning—and the drawer slides and rollers are also removable without tools for quick maintenance. Two heavy-duty, PVC-coated, wire shelves are adjustable in ¹⁄₂-inch increments and each include four chrome-plated clips.
