A time-initiated and time-terminated automatic defrost system cleans buildup off the components, and capillary tubes use environmentally friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant.

To remove settled debris and dust from the condensing coil, the condensing fan motor blows in reverse for 20 seconds when the compressor is turned on. This automatic mechanism helps improve the coil's efficiency and increase the unit's overall lifespan. To ensure the coil is operating correctly over time, this technology should not replace preventive maintenance.

The True TUC-27F-LP-HC undercounter freezer is 31 7⁄8 inches in height, so it can fit under low counters, and so it resists rust and scratches, it is constructed of stainless steel and a GalFan-coated steel.
