True Refrigeration TRCB-82-HC Description

The True TRCB-82-HC chef base offers space for equipment and chilled ingredient storage. Its top is a one-piece construction with a raised border to keep spills on top and off the floor. Supporting 1,084 pounds of equipment, the top is made of stainless steel for corrosion, scuff, and scratch resistance. The exterior is mostly made of stainless steel, although the back is aluminum. Handles on the unit's front are recessed, ensuring they do not press against employees as they work on the top.

In the True TRCB-82-HC chef base, the four drawers can accommodate a total of 10 full-size food pans, which must be bought separately. Drawers are lined with stainless steel, offering rust resistance in case of leaks or food contact. Insulated with polyurethane, each drawer is held at a set temperature between 33 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit using a forced-air system, capillary tubes, and R290 refrigerant. The large evaporator fan cycles cold air around the food as it is produced, eliminating hot spots.

Vey happy

I bought one for my restaurant 26 years ago it was a 79" unit it died so I got another true unit 82". If you keep the condenser clean monthly and do preventative maintenance on it they'll last a long time. I like how the drawer rails work they shut very easily and the temperature stays constant.

KaTom's Response:

Thanks for sharing your long-term experience-it's great to hear how well your original unit held up over the years. Sounds like the new one is off to a strong start too! Preventative maintenance really does go a long way, and we're glad the drawers and consistent temps are working well for your kitchen.
