The True T-12F-HC one-section reach-in freezer uses a capillary tube system and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant to keep cabinet temperatures around -10 degrees Fahrenheit, which is ideal for holding both ice cream and frozen foods. Large fan blades move high volumes of air through the cabinet to ensure all products are evenly chilled. The condensing unit is mounted at the bottom for accessibility. To save energy, an automatic defrost system turns on at a set time and turns off after the ideal temperature is reached.

The condenser fan motor in this unit runs in reverse for 20 seconds when it turns on, removing debris, dirt, and dust from the condensing coil. With this component being so integral to system operation, cleaning it regularly ensures the system functions reliably and efficiently. This self-cleaning also helps to maintain cold and consistent storage temperatures while reducing energy consumption. Even though this reversing fan motor doesn't eliminate routine maintenance requirements, it should lengthen the life of the unit.

The exterior is constructed of aluminum and stainless steel for durability, and the clear-coat aluminum interior resists scratching and staining. Cold air is retained since the walls are insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane. The stainless steel door closes by itself to prevent air from escaping, and magnetic gaskets around its frame reduce the risk of leaks. The door is hinged on the left and opens on the right.
