Half-cube ice measures 1 1⁄8 inches by 3⁄8 of an inch by 7⁄8 of an inch and is commonly bagged, dispensed, blended into smoothies or frozen beverages, and served in soft drinks. Because it nests more densely than full-cube ice, it displaces more liquid, which can save operators costs on beverages over time. Staff can monitor ice production and operational status using the control board diagnostics.
