In ideal conditions, the Hoshizaki KM-1900SAJ/B-1300SS ice maker with bin produces as much as 1,875 pounds of crescent cube ice, although hot temperatures will slow ice production. Its self-contained condenser is air cooled and uses R404A refrigerant. To maintain this unit, the interior mechanisms are protected from harmful bacteria with an antimicrobial agent.

The Hoshizaki KM-1900SAJ/B-1300SS ice maker's bin is lined with seamless polyethylene, and its walls are fully insulated to keep ice at proper serving temperatures. For retrieval and inspection, the hinged bottom door and view window provide users with access to ice. Armed with an antimicrobial agent, an ice scoop is included for sanitary scooping.
