Each day, the Hoshizaki KM-1100MAJ/B-1150SS ice maker with bin can produce 1,087 pounds of crescent cube ice in ideal conditions. The ice machine and the included scoop are protected by H-Guard Plus antimicrobial agent to reduce the risk of bacteria forming on the ice. To enable users to maintain the unit, an alert system informs them of possible discrepancies and the exterior is made of stainless steel for brisk cleaning.

To preserve ice at optimal serving conditions, the Hoshizaki KM-1100MAJ/B-1150SS ice maker's bin is insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane and the top windows enable viewing without opening the door, so cool air does not escape. The bottom-hinged door's pouch style prevents condensation buildup, so water does not spill out when opened. Because the polyethylene bin liner is seamless, it can be wiped promptly when it is time for cleaning.
