It makes flake ice—hard bits ideal for healthcare and food presentations. This type of ice works well with presentations because as they surround product, they chill it properly without bruising or damaging. Ice forms on the evaporator when R-404A refrigerant removes heat from this piece. This unit is air cooled, pushing cool air across the condenser to keep the equipment cool; this self-contained model simplifies installation.
