The Taylor 9940N can be used to measure products as they bake or boil. Its 10-foot cord can be immersed in water or in hot air and used to accurately measure products across a -40 to 300 degree F range. Its panel-mount design allows it to be mounted to a number of locations, whether that's to a wall or on a work surface. The Taylor 9940N digital thermometer is powered by one AAA battery, which is included with your purchase.

This was just the digital thermometer I was looking for
I used this to monitor the temperature of maple sap. I love the fact that it has a long lead, and I can lower it into the sap to check temperature. The thermometer I was using had a short metal probe so when I held it in the sap, the readout was very hard to see with all the steam. With this unit, the readout was far from the boiling sap, so it was perfect. I was also bery happy with the price.
Waterproof and Bulletproof. I have 11 of these.
These thermometers are waterproof, bulletproof, have a long and strong probe. 4 of the thermometers are on boats to measure water temperature in the worst of conditions. They take a licking and keep on ticking. The batteries last over a year. And they're accurate. Katom ships quickly and great customer service.
Exceeded expectations
I installed four of these to monitor what goes on inside and around the air cooled generator in my RV/ Toy Hauler. The 10 foot sensor length allowed me to mount display in bedroom and reach the generator enclosed below. The 300F operating range is more than adequate for monitoring the air cooled engine. The quality of the thermometers definitely exceeded expectation for the price.
Not very accurate
Ordered 3 thermometers and tested 2 of them. they were different by 3 degrees F.
