Taylor 9878E Description
With color coding to prevent cross contamination, the Taylor 9878E digital pocket thermometer comes in bright yellow. Its antimicrobial protective shield covers the 4 1⁄2-inch stem and slows mold and bacterial growth, while a clip holds the unit in place, preventing it from falling out of pockets. To ensure food is served at safe temperatures, the thermometer accurately measures between -40 and 500 degrees Fahrenheit or -40 to 260 degrees Celsius on an easy-to-read, backlit 2⁄5-inch LCD display. For clarity, the display reads in bold, black numbers down to one decimal point. If the thermometer strays from accurate temperature readings, it can be recalibrated; to conserve battery life, it has an auto-off feature that can be disabled. When the battery dies, it's replaceable with another CR2032 lithium ion battery.
