"Sure it's big and fairly heavy, yet it's quite different from a butcher's cleaver. Not at all as cumbersome as you might think. Good for slicing meats & veggies or sectioning a chicken oh-so-fast and, yes, great for chopping. It was very inexpensive but is quite handy and I use it more than I'd expected. I consider the few dollars very well spent indeed. The steel isn't fancy grade, yet there's so much blade that it could be sharpened regularly for decades and there'd still be plenty left."
