For durability, the Town 57138 RiceMaster® rice cooker has a stainless steel exterior, while its double-wall body is insulated and equipped with heating elements, providing even heat. The rice pot can be lifted out of the unit and is dent resistant. Its hinged cover is heated to retain heat, and the extra-thick heater plate and water-resistant controls ensure a long life.
This Town 57138 rice cooker and steamer has electronic cook and hold operation, simplifying use and ensuring effective cooking. To alert the user of cook cycles, the unit's illuminated touch controls have indicator lights. Operating at 150 degrees Fahrenheit, this rice cooker has a holding time limit of 2 hours, and auto-reset overheat protection reduces the risk of overheating that could damage the components.
