The Traulsen G12000 one-section reach-in freezer includes three corrosion-resistant, coated steel shelves, and because these shelves are wire, they encourage air to flow evenly around all the stored product. A guard on the side walls creates room for airflow around the interior perimeter and items stored therein, which helps the unit work more efficiently and promotes proper holding temperatures. The unit can withstand heavy use and corrosion because it is made of anodized aluminum, galvanized steel, and stainless steel. The cabinet is accessible in two sections through two half doors, reducing the amount of cold air that escapes when a door is opened.

Temperatures in this Traulsen G12000 reach-in freezer range between -5 and 0 degrees Fahrenheit and can be set on the microprocessor control to run at the ideal level. The unit uses R290 refrigerant that is metered by a thermal expansion valve to help the unit efficiently maintain proper temperatures in the cabinet. The refrigeration system is top mounted, which keeps it away from debris it can suck in from the floor and provides more usable storage space.
