The Vollrath 3010 Cool Handle® handle sleeve provides heat protection with its insulated silicone material. It is safe for intermittent use at temperatures as high as 600 degrees Fahrenheit and continuous use as hot as 475 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wouldn't fit
Maybe there's a way, but I couldnt slide it onto the handle, even after oiling, heating, and a lot of cursing. After using the pan, though, it's not needed. Using on the stove top, the handle does not get too hot to hold comfortably.
We're sorry you had that issue. In some applications, it may be possible to use the pan without the sleeve, but we still recommend users at least wear a mitt or use a potholder on the handle when cooking with this pan if using it without the sleeve. Thank you for leaving this feedback.
