Groen TDB-20C Description
Designed for countertop applications, the Groen TDB-20C tilting steam kettle has a 20-quart (5-gallon) capacity, perfect for cooking batches of rice, pasta, stews, and soups. Using a kettle instead of a stock pot range takes less effort, requires less labor, and provides a more even heat. When the unit is heated, the jacket—which covers the bottom two-thirds of the kettle body—turns waters into self-contained steam, so a connection to an external steam source is unnecessary.
Because the Groen TDB-20C steam kettle has a hand-tilt mechanism, operators can manually tilt the kettle body to empty the contents. The reinforced rim has a butterfly-shaped lip that directs food into specified pans and containers as it is poured, and when the kettle is tilted past 12 degrees, the heat automatically cuts off. The controls for the unit are mounted inside a water-resistant enclosure, protected from splashing. A faucet mounting bracket is included, so the operator can add a constant supply of water to the unit for recipes or cleaning. By adding a single-pantry faucet, hot or cold water is available, while a double-pantry faucet provides both hot and cold water.
