Just the right size!
I had never used a Carving Knife before. I have seen them used on the internet and restaurants. I usually end up cutting finger or messing up the turkey while trying to carve it. I have used this carving knife twice and WOW, now I know why they use them. It arrived sharp and I finished it off to be "nasty sharp"! I took it with me, along with some other Dexter Russell Knives, to our three-family reunion recently. the carving knife worked great on two oven baked turkeys and two fried turkeys and a smoked turkey. I had no problems with it carving three hams either. This carving knife will remain as a mainstay in my kitchen at home. I usually do not recommend a product, but this line of knives I WILL highly recommend this line of knives.
